The article examines the importance of one of the most ancient religions, Zoroastrianism, in the historical and cultural heritage of the peoples of Central Asia and Kazakhstan. A clear parallel is drawn between the continuity of Mazdeism and the more ancient beliefs of the indigenous population of the region.
The fact that the cult belongs exclusively to the Persians is disputed, and agreement is expressed with the thesis that the origins of Zoroastrianism originated among the Saka tribes, which became the proto-ancestors of the Kazakh ethnic group. The author substantiates the close connection of the doctrine of faith with the spiritual culture and religious beliefs of the Turkic peoples.
